What Are You Searching For?

Everyone who reads this will be searching, searching for something, and have needs, some small, some very large. What are you needs, what are you searching for and whatever needs you have God has promised in Philippians 4:19 to meet those needs?

Your need might be one of falling strength. Life ultimately catches up with every man or woman; time takes its toll. You can't run as far, you don't throw as fast, that chest of drawers you remember moving by yourself has somehow gotten heavier over the years, the lettering on the highway signs seems to be getting smaller. A lot of things seems to have change.

Much of what the world values - and what you have valued - diminishes. The exciting truth is that as the years go by and physical strength wanes, every person can grow to new depths and strength in his or her walk with God. As that spiritual growth occurs, new strength to peace settles our fears and concerns.

Scripture tells us that Moses was faithful to God throughout his life (Hebrew 3:2). That is, Moses maintained a constant relationship with God. Even in later years, Moses was a strong man of God, living for Him. He had strength from God for the task before him; God was with him until the end and that is God's promise to you, "I will never leave you nor desert you," As your physical strength begins to fail, God will be the strength you need (Psalm 73:26; Philippians 4:16).

God knows your needs, whatever they happen to be, and often those needs are met or at least partially met through the local church. The writer of Hebrews encourages Christians to build each other in their faith, hope, and love as they meet together. Do you have those needs? Everyone needs a support system and often our personal family is far from us; a church family can help fill our needs. We would like to include you in our family, why not give us a try?
