We believe that the Bible (which consists of the Old and New Testaments) in the original texts is the verbally inspired, inerrant Word of God. It is the complete revelation of His will for salvation and the only unfailing guide for faith and practice of the Christian life. (Isaiah 28:13; Nehemiah 8:8; John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12; 1 Peter 1:23-25; 2 Peter 1:3-4 and 1:21
We believe in one God, creator of all things, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that these three are co-eternal and of equal dignity and power. We believe that He mercifully concerns Himself with the affairs of mankind and saves from sin and death all those who come to Him through faith in Jesus Christ. (Deuteronomy 33:27; Psalms 90:2; Psalms 102:27; John 3:16 and 4:24; 1 Timothy 1:17; Titus 1:3, Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 44:8 and 48:16; Matthew 28:19-20; John 10:30; Hebrews 1:3).
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ; His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit; His virgin birth; His sinless life; His substitutionary death on a cross; His bodily resurrection; His ascension to the right hand of the Father; and His personal, imminent return. (Isaiah 7:14; Micah 5:2; Matthew 1:23; Mark 16:19; Luke 1:34-35; John 1:1-2, 8:58 and 11:25; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 1 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 1:8; 1 John 1:2; Revelation 1:8).
We believe that man was created by and for God; that by man’s disobeying God, every person incurred spiritual death, which is separation from God, and physical death as a consequence; and that all people are sinners by nature and practice. We believe in the Gospel, that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins and that all who believe in and trust Him in faith for salvation are declared righteous because of His sacrificial death and are, therefore, in right relationship with God. (Romans 3:23, Acts 3:19, Acts 20:21, Ephesians 2:1-3, Ephesians 2:8-9, 1 John 2:2, John 3:16, Matthew 11:28, Revelation 22:17).
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit; that He convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgment; and that He indwells all believers, and thus enables and empowers the life and ministry of the believer. (Acts 1:8; 2 Corinthians 3:18; John 16:8-11; Romans 8:26 and 15:13,16; Hebrews 9:14).
We believe in the bodily resurrection of everyone who has lived, the everlasting blessedness of those in right relationship with God, and the eternal separation of those who have rejected God’s gift of salvation and forgiveness in His Son. (Psalm 9:17; Matthew 5:3, 5:22, 18:9 and 25:31-34; Mark 9:42-49; Luke 12:5; John 3:18; Hebrews 12:23; 1 Peter 1:4; Revelation 14:10-11 and 20:11-15).
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ instituted two ordinances for the church; water baptism of believers in the gospel, and the Lord’s Supper (or communion) (Matthew 28:19; Luke 22:19-20; Acts 2:38; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26).
